Take it one step at a time

Repair steps

  1. Unplug the vacuum

    Switch the vacuum off and unplug it from the wall before opening any user-accessible filter compartment.

  2. Remove the filter

    Remove only the filter identified in the user manual as removable, and note its orientation before lifting it out.

  3. Check washability

    Check the manual or filter label. Tap a non-washable filter gently outdoors; rinse a washable filter only as directed.

  4. Dry fully before refitting

    Let a washed filter air-dry completely for the full time specified by the maker, then refit it in its original orientation.
