  1. Step 1

    Try the trousers on with the shoes you plan to wear and mark the finished length.

    Take them off, fold and pin the hem evenly, then press the fold.

    Sew small stitches inside the fold, catching only a few outer threads each time.

    Knot the thread securely, remove the pins, and check both legs for an even length.
