Repair steps

  1. Check that the damage is only cosmetic

Check that the chip is limited to the surface finish. Do not use this method for a loose veneer, split wood, a sharp exposed edge, or a load-bearing part.

  2. Clean the area

Dust the area and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Let it dry fully before applying any repair product.

  3. Test a matching repair wax

Choose a furniture repair wax labeled for the surface and finish. Test a tiny amount in a hidden spot and compare the color after it dries.

  4. Apply and buff lightly

Follow the product directions to fill only the small chip, then buff gently with a soft cloth. Leave valuable, antique, or coated furniture to a furniture restorer.
