Repair steps

  1. Check the slider

Lay the bag flat and inspect the zipper slider. This repair is only for a missing pull tab when the slider and teeth are intact.

  2. Choose a short loop

Choose a short zipper pull loop or cord with a fitting that passes through the slider eye. Keep it short so it cannot snag.

  3. Attach the pull

Thread the pull through the slider eye and secure its closure as directed by the maker. Do not bend or pry open the slider.

  4. Test without force

Move the zipper gently along the track. Stop if it catches, the slider spreads, or teeth separate; a bag repairer can replace the slider.
